Bob and Sheri have been the Morning Show Hosts on 106.1 The River since August of 2013, but the duo has been together for over 22 years. The pair has pioneered a new type of radio created and targeted for today’s active adult woman. Bob and Sheri is based on real people sharing their lives and lives of their listeners each day. Long before there were reality TV shows, Bob and Sheri were doing reality radio. You’ll hear J. Gerard between breaks on the Bob & Sheri Show, at live remotes and Friday’s at noon on Friday Funday. He’s been in radio since 2005, and on the air in Knoxville since 20009.

 

Pete Michaels
Traffic Reports

Pete Michaels of Metro SkyWatch Traffic has been keeping Knoxville updated on 106.1 The River since the station went on the air. Pete was born in Miami Beach and has been reporting traffic since 1976. Pete has racked up nearly 30,000 hours of flight time. He enjoys travel, golf, and racquetball in his spare time. Pete has 3 Children and 7 grand children. Pete graduated from NY Academy of Broadcasting – SU – UT – American School of Madrid, Spain

 

Cindi (CJ)

Cindi Alpert (CJ) grew up in New Jersey and graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism. Her introduction to the radio business was while in college working as a Traffic Reporter. She would fly in a helicopter or small plane every day and use names like Ivana Merge, Helen Wheels and Lane Weaver. Cindi hosted mornings on WHOK in Columbus Ohio with the late great J.R. Nelson for 2 years. Then moved to Naples Florida and worked as the General Sales Manager for her family’s radio station WAVV-FM. Cindi and her late husband Jeff had the opportunity to build a new radio station in Knoxville in 2008 and have been going strong ever since.
